Senior Techno‑Functional Analyst
Location: Central London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Contract: 6 months (Inside IR35) • Up to £650/day
Overview Are you an experienced Techno‑Functional Analyst who has led platform migration programs? Do you have hands‑on experience transitioning from the legacy FIS GMI platform to the FIS Cleared Derivatives solution? If so, this contract opportunity could be a great fit.
In this role, you will collaborate across business operations, technology teams, vendor partners, and program leadership to drive this transformation.
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead collaborative workshops with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to gather comprehensive requirements
  • Map and document current (“as‑is”) processes and systems, then design optimized future‑state workflows
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify discrepancies and propose remediation steps
  • Draft and maintain key documentation: BRDs, FRDs, use-case specifications, data maps, and more
  • Own the agile backlog: define, prioritize, and craft user stories with acceptance criteria
  • Support roadmap planning and define phased implementation timelines
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and UAT with global delivery teams
  • Ensure alignment across onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams within a global delivery model
Must‑Have Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years in techno‑functional roles within capital markets transformation programmes
  • Deep knowledge of trade lifecycles for exchange‑traded and cleared derivatives
  • At least 4 years working in investment banks specifically on FIS GMI support, maintenance, or migration
  • Proven expertise in gap analysis, process re-engineering, and data mapping for derivatives
  • Strong track record producing high‑quality BRDs, FRDs, and use‑case documentation
  • Agile/Scrum experience—including backlog creation and sprint planning
  • Experience working within global delivery models and with cross-location teams
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Familiarity with batch scheduling tools: Control‑M, AutoSys, Cron
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong data analysis skills
  • Exposure to messaging technologies such as FIX, MQ, TIBCO EMS
  • Knowledge of file transfer protocols such as FTP/SFTP
