It's become apparent over the last few years that there is a real lack of diversity in the world of Software and Engineering, and we're here to change that.

We recognise the pressing need for increased diversity in STEM fields, where women make up only 34% of the workforce.

'Women in STEM is dedicated to bridging the gender gap'

Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we aim to increase the representation of women in STEM fields. We believe that diversity fosters innovation and creativity, making it essential for the progress and success of the technology industry.

Our mission: To advocate for change, collaborate with businesses, and empower women to thrive in the world of technology.

What we do:

• Advocacy and Awareness- We actively engage with businesses to raise awareness about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

• Networking and Support - Join our community to connect with like-minded individuals, share experiences, and build a strong support network.

• We will be hosting networking events, creating podcasts and helping businesses to improve their diversity hires through guidance and advice.

Events

On the 28th March 2024, we hosted our first ever event Trailblazing Women in STEM, on the Cambridge Science Park at the Bradfield Centre Auditorium. The event featured guest speakers who are experts in their respective STEM fields.

Building on its success, we are thrilled to announce that more exciting events are on the horizon.

We have launched the Women in STEM Podcast

Welcome to the Women in STEM Podcast, a space dedicated to discussing the experiences of Women in Technology.

We aim to spotlight the trailblazing women who are driving transformative change in their industries. We also delve into the challenges faced by women in STEM fields and share the strategies they use to overcome them. Our goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of women leaders in STEM.
