Job Title: Enterprise Architect
Location: Remote (Must be UK Based)
Contract: Outside IR35

Are you a seasoned and forward-thinking Enterprise Architect seeking an opportunity to lead a major international change and transformation initiative? If so, this role could be the perfect fit.
You’ll play a key role in building a high-performing architecture function, driving alignment between technology strategy and business goals. This is your chance to shape the enterprise architecture practice from the ground up, influence strategic technology decisions, and establish strong governance across a complex and evolving IT landscape.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Mentorship & Capability Building
  • Mentor and support a permanent Enterprise Architect within Mantrac Group to establish the architecture function and deliver key outcomes.
  • Guide the team in best practices, frameworks, and effective architectural decision-making.
Strategic Alignment & Road mapping
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to align technology strategy with organisational goals.
  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of the IT Roadmap, in consultation with business service owners.
  • Support alignment between business roadmaps and the IT strategy.
Architecture Modelling & Documentation
  • Create and maintain enterprise architecture artefacts including business capability models, data models, systems diagrams, and enterprise applications catalogues.
  • Develop models of business, data, and information systems architecture as needed to support technology goals.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Enterprise Repository (e.g., systems landscape maps, data models).
Governance & Best Practices
  • Ensure governance over the introduction of new technologies and adherence to TOGAF principles and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of Architecture Principles, Policies, Standards, and Rules.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to support the architectural lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Consult with stakeholders across the organisation, including up to Director level, to understand strategic goals and technology needs.
  • Take an enterprise-wide view of business and technology requirements, balancing stakeholder priorities and commercial considerations.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
  • Work closely with teams in Solutions Architecture, Cyber Security, and other IT disciplines to ensure seamless architectural integration.
  • Foster a culture of openness, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technology function.
Voice Systems Architecture
  • Design and architect enterprise voice communication systems (VoIP, SIP, PBX, UCaaS).
  • Develop strategic plans for voice infrastructure and ensure integration with existing data networks.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage relevant platforms, technologies, and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with performance, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead voice-related projects from concept through delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and provide expert support on complex voice network issues.
  • Maintain voice architecture documentation and stay updated on industry developments.
Productivity & Risk Management
  • Maximise personal and team productivity through effective use of Office 365, Azure, and IT systems.
  • Promote secure, efficient information management practices to reduce risk.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture at a senior level within large, complex, and distributed organisations.
  • Proven experience in cloud architecture, microservices, messaging, APIs, ETL processes, voice technologies, and monitoring tools.
  • Hands-on experience designing and supporting enterprise-grade voice systems.
Certifications (Preferred):
  • TOGAF Foundation and Practitioner Certification
  • BCS Practitioner Certificate in Enterprise and Solutions Architecture
  • Zachman Framework Certification
  • Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification
