Job description
							What’s in it for me?
If you love problem-solving and hands on electronics, this is an opportunity to work on cutting edge technology that’s changing the way data moves around the world. You’ll be joining a high-performing engineering team that designs and manufactures complex, high quality optical and electronic systems used in next-generation communications, defence, and data networks. As a Test Engineer, you’ll be at the centre of that innovation ensuring the performance, reliability, and quality of technology that operates at the limits of what’s possible. With a salary of £50,000, this is a role where your technical expertise will be valued, your ideas heard, and your work will directly contribute to world leading products.
What will I be doing?
You’ll develop and execute test solutions that validate advanced PCB assemblies and electronic systems, ensuring every product performs exactly as it should. From designing test equipment and defining verification requirements to fault-finding at component level, you’ll apply your deep understanding of analogue, digital, and embedded circuits to keep development on track. You’ll collaborate with electronics, software, and production engineers to improve test coverage, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the introduction of new designs into volume manufacture. You’ll also create test documentation, reports, and specifications for bespoke fixtures and automated test systems, all while developing your skills in a fast-paced and highly technical environment.
Where will I be doing it?
You’ll be based full-time at the company’s Cambridge engineering and manufacturing site, a hub of innovation known for its collaborative and inclusive culture. This is a place where practical engineering meets high precision technology, where every team member plays a key role in delivering performance and reliability at scale. You’ll be part of a friendly, multi-disciplinary team that takes pride in solving complex challenges together. If you’re passionate about electronics, thrive on hands-on problem solving, and want to see your work make an impact across global industries, this is where you’ll want to be.
