Electronics Engineer - Consumer

Job description

Why would you want to work here? A few reasons, firstly, most of the work will involve working on prototypes. Rather than simply working on existing designs, or improving an already established product, you get to work with a team that works on their own designs. You’ll benefit from having a global, household name on your CV, but enjoy the atmosphere of a business that has maintained their start-up feel, by that I mean a social atmosphere, people working hard, and an informal culture.

This is a global brand, with offices across the world. You’ll be working in a hi-tech facility in Cambridge, helping to design and manufacture high performing electrical products across an extensive product line. As a business, sales have remained consistent, even in the current climate, which has allowed these guys to further bolster their product line and seriously look at their recruitment requirements.

You’ll be working with some incredibly knowledgeable staff, some of whom have patents within the company, and all of which encourage an excellent social atmosphere, with regular work and social incentives for their respective teams and colleagues. You’ll also be working in a hi-tech modern facility, with a host of benefits, and a salary of up to £45,000.

Technical Requirements:

Ideally a qualified Electronics Engineer and previous experience in embedded systems for high-volume consumer electronics or similar

Proven track record of developing electronics and PCBs (Altium). An awareness of cost, reliability, product compliance (EN 60335 or similar) and manufacturing/assembly techniques would be highly beneficial

Basic microcontroller and Embedded C skills would be a bonus

Ability to communicate concisely and influence others
