The organisation

A group that work in the design manufacturing and supply of digital communication products for mission critical communication. They’re based a short distance for Cambridge North, in some truly stunning offices. The work they provide is largely within the public services domain, with the tech they work on being relied on in life or death scenarios. The work environment can be full on, with an expectation of delivery, though the management team do as much to relieve some of that pressure by allowing half days on Friday’s, arranging regular social events and working in spacious and modern working environments. The role

You will be responsible for developing new algorithms and maintaining the existing code base which is largely written in C. These guys are currently introducing new products into their portfolio, and you’ll be responsible for developing the audio software for the current and future products, alongside the strategy group and acoustic engineers.

Technical Requirements

As always, it’s important to make sure you’ve worked with the right tech, so have a review of their technical requirements below:

• at least 3 years’ experience of writing Audio DSP software in a commercial environment
• relevant technical degree covering digital signal processing
• developing DSP software written in assembly language or C
• knowledge of fixed- and floating-point audio processing
• simulating audio processing algorithms using Matlab or Python
• a genuine interest in audio
• team worker - working in a cross functional development environment
