What You'll Do:
As a Senior RF Engineer, you'll take ownership of RF subsystem design for radio terminals, collaborating across baseband, audio, and MMI teams. Your day-to-day will involve:
- End-to-end design of RF transmitters, receivers, and power amplifiers
- Antenna design and tuning, matching networks, and EMC/EMI mitigation
- Schematic design, component specification, and PCB layout guidance
- RF performance optimisation, testing, and debugging using modern tools
- Documentation of design work, test results, and compliance reports
- Cross-functional collaboration with hardware, software, and systems teams
- Proven experience in hands-on RF circuit and system design
- Strong technical foundation in at least three of: Tx/Rx architectures, PA design, receivers, matching networks, broadband/LTE comms
- Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g. ADS, CST), RF testing procedures, and use of facilities such as anechoic chambers
- Practical experience with technologies such as TETRA, LTE/4G/5G, GNSS, WiFi
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- UK work eligibility, full driving licence, and willingness to travel occasionally
- Experience with PMR systems or regulatory compliance
- Understanding of MIMO, beamforming, or SDR technologies
- Exposure to antenna system integration and high-frequency board rework
