VP Engineering – AI Start-up

 

£80,000 – £120,000 package

 

SoCode are exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing tech start-up. This Cambridge university spin out have created a complex system for managing and searching for information using cutting edge artificial intelligence.

 

They are undergoing a funding round that will see them in a position to grow the engineering team threefold and need a VP engineering to manage and take ownership of the engineering function and its growth.

 

This company has several large enterprises using their software and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the management and growth of the engineering function. This will initially have a hands-on element which will reduce as the team grows.

   

Essential Requirements:

-          Computer science degree or similar from a top tier university

-          Experience leading and growing engineering teams

-          Experience helping early-stage start-ups go through growth

-          Experienced using several different languages and technologies

    

Desirable:

-          Experience working for AI focussed organisations

-          Experience in semantics, NLP

-          This role will require 3 days a week on site in Cambridge
