Senior Hardware Engineer

Job description

A well-funded and ambitious business, who have a clear vision to redesign the server for the modern data centre. They have recently won awards for their patented ideas and are backed by one of the biggest players in the tech industry, with impressive growth plans over the course of the next year. They are now designing architecture which delivers the high throughput modern software needs, offering largely reduced power consumption on data centres, for a 3rd of the cost. Their ethos is to rewrite the rules for data centre impact on the earth.

 

This position sits at a pivotal level within the business, playing a key role in designing, development, validation, certification, and transfer to production of new hardware designs and maintaining and improving existing designs. You will also contribute to the technical definition of products on the technology roadmaps and mentoring junior engineers.

Technical requirements

At least 7 years of ARM, Intel, or AMD application processor hardware development experience (32/64bit CPUs)

An electronics engineering, or similar degree

Experience of high-speed digital interfaces (e.g. Serial ATA, PCI Express, 10G Ethernet)

Schematic capture and PCB layout

Hardware board bring up and debugging experience
