Job description

The world of tech consultancies come with their pros and cons. Deadlines for client projects can generally be quite tough, it can be a bit of a balancing act, and on top the bar to entry is usually quite high. However, if you can push through some of the regular challenges this type of environment may create, you could potentially be a part of creating a COVID rehab centre from scratch, you could be helping to revolutionise cell and gene therapy manufacturing, or helping the world in developing a strategy for more sustainable plastics, the possibilities are quite literally endless. This is a tech consultancy who have taken on those challenges, and have successfully worked with clients, who have gone on to create award winning products, to better the world we live in.

 

Let’s be more specific, you’ll be a part of creating technical solutions for break out products, contributing your expertise in electronic engineering. This may range from creating a novel wirelessly connected product, developing high performance data processor to designing an innovative medical device.

 

You'll be someone who has worked at the hands on level for some time, and are perhaps looking to, or even currently working in a more strategic engineering level role. You still enjoy the engineering challenges that come with Electronics, and providing advice and guidance to the hands on guys, however you also look forward to the some of the operation lead challenges. You like the idea of dealing with customers directly, managing resources, teams, dealing with the lead stakeholders of the business etc.

As always, it’s important to have a look at the technical requirements, to make sure this is a role you’d be comfortable with:

 

Technical skills:

 

 You will have demonstrable experience applying your expertise in analogue and power electronics to a wide-range of problem spaces

You will be comfortable applying modern simulation tools and techniques to the design process

You will have exposure to the full product lifecycle from concept generation through to product release

You will possess a good understanding of the regulatory landscape of the EU and US and a proven track record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards

You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable explaining technical material in both an informal and formal setting
