This company is a global leader in consumer electronics with offices around the world. In terms of experience, they are looking for someone who has worked within consumer handheld electrical product development, has a degree or HNC/HND qualified, has an excellent eye for detail, preferably someone who has worked in a lab environment before involved heavily in testing equipment.

 

Working alongside the NPD team, the project engineer will help to develop, support and test high tech hair products for the consumer market. The majority of the work will support the development of the companies consumer products as well as testing, reporting and presenting the results of the product testing system at hand.

 

As a Project Engineer you'll work on a range of consumer products including the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes. Working on such technical products the desired engineer will run technical test reports using statistical analysis as well as testing the product through to development phase. You will have the chance to design and develop product test rigs for lab as well as manufacture testing (Using Labview and PLC) and also support the Quality Control team with the analysis of field returns/market claims.

 

Key Skills Needed:

- Degree or ND/HNC/HND educated in science/engineering

- Experience working with consumer handheld electrical product development (preferable) 

- Take ownership of small work packages whilst providing regular deadline updates

- Early stage product development and testing new tech in heating and air control
