PMO Lead- Cambridge- Finance 

My leading financial client in Cambridge is currently looking for a PMO Lead to join them as multiple projects continue and new one enter the pipeline. This particular client has enjoyed organic growth off the back of multiple successes when rolling out their financial crime detection platform to multiple client internationally. 

With this continued growth and extra stress of various projects, a PMO Lead is required to:

  • Establish day-to-day running of the Project Management Office 
  • Oversee the project portfolio whilst providing expert knowledge and support- monitor rogress and report on the portfolio status
  • Own project portfolio delivery approach, implementation, establishment and iteration 
  • Plan, track and report on resource capacity between projects in the portfolio
  • Ensure documentation and reports are up to date for ongoing projects in the portfolio 
  • Maintain contact with stakeholders providing updates on progress, potential set-backs and resource 
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices and ensure a consistent approach across all projects through training and collaboration

Required skills: 

  • Senior level experience and success in a PMO position ideally within software delivery/systems integration 
  • Proven experience in management of various projects and complex business initiatives 
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Project Server and/or Sharepoint 
  • Hands on software engineering skills would be advantageous 
  • Ability to manage multiple on-going projects and cpnfidence in prioritising appropriately 
  • Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering or Business.
