Are you a senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant looking for a high-impact contract opportunity? This role is ideal for an experienced consultant who wants to lead end-to-end projects, provide expert guidance across the Business Applications suite, and mentor other consultants—all within a flexible, remote setup with client travel as required.

This contract position allows you to take ownership of full project lifecycles, drive best-practice solutions, and make a tangible impact for clients across diverse UK SMEs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Dynamics 365 Business Central, delivering end-to-end implementation projects.
  • Support the commercial team in pre-sales, providing demos, proposals, and quotations.
  • Conduct detailed business process reviews, ensuring tailored solutions for client needs.
  • Oversee project scoping, documentation, and planning for smooth execution.
  • Manage system configuration, data migration, and testing throughout the implementation phase.
  • Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and business goals.
  • Provide post-implementation support, addressing issues and system enhancements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to ensure continued innovation and product adoption.
  • Offer mentorship and training to junior consultants, fostering knowledge-sharing.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central/Navision (2013 onwards), with 10+ full lifecycle implementations.
  • Strong experience with third-party solutions such as Continia and Jet Reports.
  • 3+ years’ experience in design, implementation, support, and management of Business Central solutions.
  • Proficiency with Office365 and its integration with Dynamics 365.
  • Previous experience with D365 development using C/AL code and SSRS report generation.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Proven ability to create accurate project plans and estimates, and deliver within scope, time, and budget.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching consultants.
  • Ability to manage clients with diverse needs across various industries.
  • Prior experience in a pre-sales or client engagement capacity.
