Antenna Design Engineer | CONTRACT Outside IR35 | Cambridge | £55-65 per hour

The Role:

As an antenna design engineer you will be supporting setting up the process for antenna development for highly integrated product while working on custom antenna design and simulation both in isolation and when integrated into products, including the impact of other objects (accessories, body effects etc.) a big part of the role will be working on feasibility analysis for antenna solutions and prototyping of antenna.

 

The organisation:

A group that work in the design manufacturing and supply of digital communication products for mission critical communication. They’re based a short distance for Cambridge North and are currently looking for multiple engineers due to a recent win on a project. The work they provide is largely within the public services domain, with the tech they work on, being relied on in life or death scenarios. The work environment can be full on, with an expectation of delivery, though the management team do as much to relieve some of that pressure by allowing half days on Friday’s and working in spacious and modern working environments.

 

Skills Needed:

• CST Microwave Studio
• Multi-band antenna design/test for mobile phones
• Active antenna tuning
• Design of diversity antennas
• Antenna test and measurement techniques/equipment including TRP/TIS, efficiency etc
• TETRA
• 3G/4G design.
