Job description
🚀 Project Manager – Space Sector | Hybrid | Cambridgeshire | £80k - £90k
I am looking for a Project Manager with real space-sector experience, someone who thrives on complex technical challenges and knows what it takes to deliver a system that actually flies. If you’ve worked on something that’s made it into orbit, that’s exactly the kind of experience i'd love to hear about.
You’ll be leading end-to-end delivery of high-tech projects involving software, electronics, and embedded systems for satellite systems, communication payloads, and space-based sensing. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you’ll work closely with engineers, sales teams, and customers to make sure every project launches smoothly, on time, on budget, and built to perform.

- Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at every level, from engineers to execs.
- Supporting proposals and bids, helping to shape opportunities with technical insight and commercial awareness.
- Experience leading complex engineering or software projects in the space industry, ideally something that’s gone into orbit.
- A background in aerospace, electronics, systems, or software engineering (degree or equivalent practical experience).
- Solid understanding of space-specific standards, environmental testing, radiation effects, reliability, validation.
- Strong communicator and team leader, able to guide multidisciplinary teams and engage confidently with clients.
- Comfortable using structured project management tools (WBS, MS Project, risk tracking) in regulated or mission-critical environments.
- Calm under pressure, detail-driven, and motivated to deliver results that make a measurable impact in space.
