Senior Project MANAGER
Place of work: Cambridge
On site: 5 days a week on site
Contract: 6 months
Seeking a highly capable project manager/programme manager to deliver on some key strategic projects. To work on optical circuit switches for advanced fibre optics.
Looking to work with the Electronic, Mechanical and Test Engineering teams focused on development and a Production Engineering team who support manufacture
Required to plan development projects from concept to release into manufacture and
manage a portfolio of Engineering projects taking direct responsibility for priority projects. Put in place control and monitoring measures for scope, schedule, cost and quality, to drive the effective delivery of the projects at each phase.
Ensure that progress against deliverables is visible, using data and work with stakeholders to collaboratively manage dependencies across the project portfolio
Work with the Engineering & Development Director and discipline leaders to balance engineering resources across the projects in line with business priorities and manage programme changes to ensure the impact of change against baseline are clearly communicated and accepted by stakeholders
Will need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a STEM subject and significant experience as a qualified Project Manager, able to get the best out of project teams. Recognised Project Management qualifications
