Senior PHP Developer – Peterborough - £35-£45K

Our client, who are a leading software developer in the education sector are looking at securing a Senior PHP Developer to join their team in Peterborough.

Our client is looking for an experienced and open-minded backend PHP developer to work on developing our clients existing Software as a Service product. You will be working with cutting edge technologies producing and maintaining quality code that develops the client’s software.

You will have the opportunity to develop and hone your skills in PHP development with opportunities to attend conferences worldwide on leading and emerging technologies all at the company’s expense.  

Their office is situated in the Peterborough city centre less than a 30-minute walk away from Peterborough station.

A successful candidate must have:

• Experience in working on high traffic websites.
• Experienced architecting code using object orientated design principles and techniques.
• Comprehensive understanding of PHP 5 (or above).
• Previous experience of writing Rest APIs using JSON.

Desired:

• PHP 7
• Experience of using JIRA.
• An active learner who is looking to develop their knowledge.

Our clients are offering an attractive salary ranging from £35,000 - £45,000 including generous benefits such as flexible working hours, attractive pension, etc.
