Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | £50,000pa | Essex

 

We are currently working with a leading biotech company who are expanding their engineering function with the addition of multiple mechanical design engineers. As an international life science company they develop and sell instruments, consumables, and services for liquid-, sample-, and cell handling in laboratories worldwide. Its product range includes spectrometers, DNA amplification equipment as well as ultra-low temperature freezers, bioreactors and cell manipulation systems.

 

As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for the design, testing and validation of new platform of ULT freezers as well supporting product portfolio improvement focusing on mechanical systems. You will dive into troubleshooting of mechanical systems of ULT freezers and interface systems for quality improvement and cost reduction opportunities and follow through market trend and organization effort on medical devices connectivity and efficiency through solid technological platform awareness.

 

You will be joining a small engineering team of 20 in the offices in Maldon – but don’t worry – there is lots of opportunity for flexible working. The role can offer up to £50,000 with strong opportunities to grow within the business across the globe.
