Position: Senior Firmware Engineer - C/Labview/Debug/SVN

SoCode has a Unique opportunity for a Senior Firmware Engineer to join one of the most prestigious manufacturing companies in Cambridge and in the world. As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you will work within the electronics team to develop, support and test a range of technically leading products. Work will include firmware development and testing, hardware/firmware integration and system testing. This role does include occasional traveling to China, US and EU.

Firmware Engineer - C/Labview/Debug/SVN - Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, expand and document firmware for microcontrollers
  • Develop, test, debug and document new firmware for microcontrollers
  • Implement and manage firmware test plans
  • Tune control algorithms for improved performance
  • Work with hardware and project engineers 
  • Mentor and train non-senior team members

Firmware Engineer - C/Labview/Debug/SVN - Skills:

  • 5 years+ of experience and previous experience in embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • developing complex firmware in Embedded C to a high standard
  • A deep understanding of microcontrollers and firmware development
  • Strong skills with firmware IDEs/tools (Eclipse, MPLAB, Tortoise SVN, Bugzilla). Previous
  • Experience with PIC32 and Cortex-M0 would be highly beneficial. 
  • Basic LabVIEW skills and hardware, USB and Bluetooth knowledge would be a bonus

Beneficial:
