SoCode are recruiting for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer for our well known and established client based in Cambridge.
The role will focus on the development of low-level embedded software components for a widely used and very important consumer electronics product within the Telecommunication space. As one of Cambridge’s most successful and best-known companies, our client has been established for more than 50 years.
You’ll be joining a large and diverse technology function of multi-disciplinary engineers - working across various disciplines you’ll be able to see the product come to life and the full-cycle of developing an industry leading consumer product.
This role has been created as both development work and sales are at a peak – several new engineers will be required throughout 2021 to cope with demand levels.
We’d be open to Software Engineers at all experience levels with a desire to work and inexperience in the following skillset:
Key Skills & Experience :
- Excellent knowledge of the C programming language
- Familiar with real-time multi-processor, multi-threaded, event-driven software
- Familiar with Embedded Linux drive architecture. Experience of using ARM BSPs
- Developing product quality Real Time Embedded software for low level Device Drivers
- Excellent debugging skills
Our client is currently working remotely, however as we are dealing with a hardware product at some point in the future a degree of time on site will be important – fully remote will not be possible in this role. You’ll be joining a large team with a structure career progression path and the ability to learn from some of the best engineers in Cambridge.
The successful candidate will receive the following Salary and Package:
£35,000 - £60,000 Basic Salary
Bonus Scheme (5%)
Competitive Pension Scheme
12pm Finish on Friday’s
