Job Description

SoCode are working with our market leading client to source a highly skilled embedded software engineer, specialising in device drivers for high quality hand held electronic devices. Our client have won a lot of very interesting contracts recently, and are setting up for a period of significant investment and growth in 2018.,

This is a varied role which will see you working on everything from simple code for 8bit accessories and peripherals, through to highly complex Embedded Linux systems with over a million lines of code.

You will be an experienced low level embedded software engineer, and have worked on the full software development lifecycle for commercially released electronic products.

This is an opportunity to join a company who are poised to grow significantly through 2018, and offer a lot of opportunities on the back of that.

 

Requirements for application:

  • Development of Device Drivers
  • Low level embedded software development
  • Embedded Linux and Linux Kernel modules
  • C programming
  • Debugging
  • Worked closely with a hardware team

Desirable:

  • Developing for a DSP
  • Automated software testing
  • Working with a handheld electronic device
  • Working in an Agile SCRUM environment
