RF Module EM Design Engineer - Innovative RF Start-Up

Job description

Role: RF Module EM Design Engineer

Company: Innovative RF Start-Up

Location: Cambridge

Job Type: Perm

Start Date: ASAP

Description

An innovative start-up developing a novel RF component that has significantly simplified 21st century RF front end architectures used in wearable devices, smartphones and IoT devices. The company is expanding to deal with growth and are looking for a talented RF Systems Architect to join the team!

Sounds interesting, what would I be doing?

Working at the heart of the business developing the core product, you will work in all aspects of product development. This includes: architecture, circuit design, module design, layout design and overseeing the product testing and characterisation!

You will help plan and design interesting multi=chip modules for mobile device applications too, working alongside a talented team of engineers, all sharing the same mindset to get this product to market!

Okay this is similar to what I do… What skills do I need to get the job?

Some essential skills will include having an expert knowledge of RF fundamentals: filter design, RF switches, noise amplifiers and power amplifiers. As the design engineer you will need a good understanding of module building blocks to be successful here. Experience in circuit simulation and EM modelling is also essential.

As this is a role specifically based around the designing of a product, testing and troubleshooting skills are expected and you will also get the opportunity to mentor less experienced design engineers and manage projects within the development team.

Great! How do I apply?
