I’m supporting a leading, innovation-driven engineering consultancy that develops advanced, sustainable and safety-critical technologies across commercial, industrial and defence sectors. Known for integrity and collaboration, they offer an environment where technical excellence and teamwork drive every project.

They’re now looking for a Senior PCB Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in transforming design concepts into high-quality, manufacturable boards. You’ll work closely with world-class RF, digital, power and analogue engineers, help strengthen supplier relationships, and contribute to enhancing PCB capability across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing PCBs from schematics
  • Managing libraries, BoMs and manufacturing data
  • Liaising with suppliers on design, cost and timing
  • Maintaining supplier relationships and audits
  • Keeping up with new PCB technologies
  • Ensuring quality and delivery standards (ISO9001)
  • Presenting designs in reviews
  • Improving PCB processes
What You’ll Bring:
  • Strong PCB design portfolio (RF/microwave/mmWave a plus)
  • Expert in Altium Designer (schematic capture and layout)
  • Knowledge of SMT, DFA, DFM and IPC standards
  • Experience working with electronics and mechanical teams
  • Able to solve complex design problems independently
  • Strong communication and supplier negotiation skills
On offer is clear career progression across technical, commercial or managerial paths, alongside hybrid working (three days on-site). You’ll be part of a friendly, inclusive team with regular social events, based in modern facilities just south of Cambridge with strong transport links.

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence PCB capability, work with top-tier engineers and be part of an organisation that values its people as much as its technology - this is one to explore.
