The world of tech consultancies come with their pros and cons. Deadlines for client projects can generally be quite tough, it can be a bit of a balancing act, and on top the bar to entry is usually quite high. However, if you can push through some of the regular challenges this type of environment may create, you could potentially be a part of creating a COVID rehab centre from scratch, you could be helping to revolutionise cell and gene therapy manufacturing, or helping the world in developing a strategy for more sustainable plastics, the possibilities are quite literally endless. This is a tech consultancy who have taken on those challenges, and have successfully worked with clients, who have gone on to create award winning products, to better the world we live in.

Let’s be more specific, you’ll be a part of creating technical solutions for break out products, contributing your expertise in mechanical engineering.

You’ll join as a Mechanical Engineering Consultant, with the option to focus your career, as you develop, within a technical function, staying completely hands on, or perhaps you’ve got an interest to move within product development, helping to manage projects & colleagues, as long as you’re hitting your objectives, the choice is genuinely yours.

You’ll receive private medical insurance, up to 30 days annual leave (not including bank holidays), a generous company pension scheme, annual bonus, life & income protection scheme & additional optional benefits.

As always, it’s important to have a look at the technical requirements, to make sure this is a role you’d be comfortable with:

Technical skills:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject or equivalent experience
  • High level of proficiency in 3D CAD systems; preferably SolidWorks
  • Thorough understanding and proven experience of mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Familiarity with the design and development of laboratory automation or manufacturing system equipment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capability
  • Customer focus, with a professional and confident communication style
