Manufacturing Technician | Cambridge

Job description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to support the build and testing of advanced electronic systems. You’ll be part of a team assembling, wiring, and verifying high-performance hardware that is deployed worldwide for mission‑critical applications.
What you’ll do
  • Assemble and wire electronic and electromechanical components to engineering specifications.
  • Carry out functional testing and inspection of sub-assemblies and completed systems, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build or test issues, escalating technical problems where required.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including test data, build instructions, and quality logs.
  • Support stock control, kit preparation, and workshop organisation.
  • Contribute ideas to improve processes, quality, and workflow efficiency.
What you’ll bring
  • Practical experience in an electronics or electromechanical assembly/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and written work instructions.
  • Hands-on skills such as soldering, crimping, cable assembly, and using basic test equipment.
