The Company

SoCode Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a ground-breaking bio-tech company based in Cambridge. The company are a rapidly growing market leader, working on cutting edge DNA products, and have successfully commercialised proprietary gene technology.

What would I be doing?

As the Manual Build Technician you’ll be working specifically on repetitive cartridge builds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building complex mini thermal systems and must have a strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and an ability to repeat manual precise tasks to a consistently high level.

Working with PCB and Chip Assembly/Wire Bonding responsibilities, you’ll be expected to work to ISO 13485 standards, so prior experience of having done this will help.

Okay, what skills do I need to get the job?

Good question – Essentially if you have done this before in a medical/aerospace/defence/automotive environment you’ll slot in perfectly. The right person will need basic IT skills (particularly experience of inventory skills and an ability to adapt to new IT tools), and be confident working with electro-mechanical equipment in a lab environment.

This is a faced paced environment with limited support on offer so someone who can work autonomously and to medical grade standards would be perfect.
