Linux Systems Admin | 48-60K – DOE | Hybrid | Cambridge
Our client is a dynamic and innovative technology company dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions within frequency control manufacturing – with multiple of there products out in space currently!
I am on the hunt for a Linux Systems administrator, who also can troubleshoot around Windows 10/11 & Azure technology. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux-based systems and infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems while also providing support to internal teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology.
The unicorn for this role, would have some exposure to Candence IC Design
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and systems
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects and initiatives
- Install & configure Redhat Linux 8
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Have a base understanding of M365 & windows 10/11 to chip in when needed around the business
- Occasional 1s & 2nd line Office 365 & linux support.
- Client VPN & authorisation
- Weekly & daily back ups
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat)
- Strong scripting skills (Python) for automation and task simplification
