Your Role:

As a Linux Platform Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development, integration, and maintenance of low-level software components for our Android/Linux platform. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing custom functionality within the UEFI bootloader, Linux kernel, and Android HALs to enhance our products.
  • Integrating new drivers into our platform, assessing performance, and customizing as required.
  • Managing large code bases and confidently using git to merge branches and upstream commits.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware/electronics and factory test application developers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

What You Need to Succeed:

Must-haves:

  • A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Linux kernel and system programming, with a strong understanding of embedded systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the wider engineering organization.
  • Proficiency in C++ or Java for Android development.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Linux kernel driver development, including power management support.
  • Familiarity with Qualcomm SoC and Android platform development.
