Lead Data Engineer- Cambridhe- Permanent- £40k-£60k

One of my fastest growing clients, a leader in the medical industry, is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to help manage data pipelines, cleanse data and organise a team of Data Engineers on a day to day basis. This individual will work closely with senior management and Product Owners to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and achieve the goals set out. 

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer who wants to take the next step to leading both projects and people. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design/deliver solid solutions 
• Support product owners in communicating requirements 
• Mentor and train others in coding 
• Design tables for the data warehouse 
• Improve effectiveness of delivery pipeline 

Experience Required: 

• Strong Python and TDD experience 
• Proficiency with Docker 
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing and ETL techniques 
• Agile experience 
• Big Data experience 

Desired: 

• Django 
• AWS/Google Cloud 
• Numpy/Pandas, Scipy, Scikit-learn
