SoCode are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Mid-level Java Engineer that wants a fast-track opportunity to a future in architecture. This role has amazing potential in progression and is offering that advancement in the next step of your career.

Our client is all about learning and striving within education and wants to be at the forefront of digital learning and digital books whilst also offering professionals online courses globally.

You will work closely with other software engineers, product owners and stakeholders in an Agile environment. You will be a very hands-on with coding whilst involving and heavily incorporated in defining solution architecture, setting technical standards, gathering information on new approaches and technology options.

To be successful within this application, you will need the following experience:

• Proficient in modern Java/ J2EE/J2SE,
• Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Keen interest in Architecture and ability to learn,
• Believer in continuous self-improvement with an ambitious attitude,
• A confident communicator, who enjoys collaborative problem solving

Ideal but not Essential:

• Existing Architectural experience
• CI/CD experience,
• Skilled in either or both SQL / NoSQL databases
• Knowledge in delivering SaaS solution on a cloud platform such as AWS or Azure
