Thomas Drake

​Thomas began his journey with SoCode in June 2021.

He first begun covering the Java and C++ markets but now recruits Embedded Software professionals to secure the best job opportunities.

After 2 years of living down under (Australia) he came home with a spring in his step straight into the Coronavirus lockdown. Whilst living in Australia he wanted to get into recruitment and now back in the UK, an opportunity at SoCode arose and he never looked back!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

"Whilst growing up I always wanted to be a fireman, in New York (that was my location preference). The idea of the big American fire trucks and the aspect of drama and being the hero always seemed appealing."

Where would we find you outside of work?

"Outside of work you'd find me in the gym (Cliché I know) This is because if I wasn't in the gym I'd be going out for food - Life is all about balance!"

"I lived in Sydney for nearly 2 years of my life, purely soaking up the sun and just living the Australian dream."
