The world of tech consultancies come with their pros and cons. Deadlines for client projects can generally be quite tough, it can be a bit of a balancing act, and on top the bar to entry is usually quite high. However, if you can push through some of the regular challenges this type of environment may create, you could potentially be a part of creating a COVID rehab centre from scratch, you could be helping to revolutionise cell and gene therapy manufacturing or helping the world in developing a strategy for more sustainable plastics, the possibilities are quite literally endless. We are currently working with a tech consultancy who have taken on those challenges, and have successfully worked with clients, who have gone on to create award winning products, to better the world we live in.

This is a leading global consultancy who are in need of a business leader who understands the complexities of mechanical solutions into highly automated production environments This consultancy has a global network ranging from tech start-ups to Fortune 500 clients and they have gone on to create award winning products that better the world we live in. 

This is top tier appointment in the organisation, as a Head of Mechanical Engineer you will be the point of contact for business development, thought and team leaders. With one foot in the operation, one foot in the strategic and a head for business and proposition development, this role is highly varied and calls for someone who is autonomous and a self-starter.

As Head of Mechanical Engineering, you will need:

  • A broad understanding of mechanical engineering and its application to high throughput manufacturing
  • A flair for client management and business development
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful product development and deployment

This role will be Cambridge based, offering a very competitive salary of £100-120k plus a bonus of up to 30%.
