Front-End Developer

SoCode is proud to work in partnership with an award-winning Cambridge based tech start-up who is renowned for developing a best-in-class software that transforms networks.

As our client continues to grow, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Front-End Developer. As part of an elite team of developers you will be responsible for developing our client’s user interface primarily for desktop and secondary mobile, improving the experience for hundreds of thousands of users around the world.

It is crucial that you possess a true passion for programming, along with hands-on experience, and multiple examples to present of your own code that you have written in your spare time, e.g. on your GitHub account.

As a Front-End Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Developing applications for mobile and desktop
  • Deploying software to a huge user base
  • Working with international development teams, including the US, China and blue-chip companies


The following experience is essential:

  • JavaScript and AJAX
  • Proficient with web application
  • Examples of writing your own code


Desirable experience includes:

  • Programming languages such as Python
  • Development languages such as C# or Java
  • Web security

The amount of experience you have is not pigeon holed but a willingness to continue to learn is as important to our client, with this you will be rewarded with training and development from world-class developers, offering vast amounts of opportunity to improve your skills and advance your career. 

Location: Cambridge
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
