Electronics Design Engineer - 6 Month FTC

Job description

Whilst this is a short-term contract, and might not appeal to someone looking for longevity, for an electronics engineer, this offers the opportunity to work on optical solutions which are used in data, AI, Machine learning & in data centers. You’ll work with connections and how they change in real time. You’ll design everything in-house, not having to worry about pushing things off to external design houses. If you’ve worked a little bit with hardware-based security related functions or haven’t and would like to do more of this, then this could be something worth exploring.

You’ll work with an experienced hardware team, delivering hardware designs from concept through to delivery of product into manufacturing. Your team will be responsible for analog, digital and firmware development on the hardware platforms to support advanced feature sets required by the market.

This is a Cambridge tech business, backed by a global billion £ organization, with all the money they need, but with the creative freedom of a start-up and none of the red tape. The offices have been completely renovated, with brand new labs, new investment, and have just secured projects on an international scale out of their Cambridge branch.

For this role, you’ll need some of the following to be considered:

  • Analogue and digital electronics capabilities
  • Strong digital design skills
  • PCB Layout & design capabilities
  • Embedded systems, secure systems, TPM (Trusted Platform Module)
