Job description
What’s in it for me?
You’re an electronics design engineer, perhaps you’ve got a few years in industry, or you’re approaching senior level, and you’re exploring the market wondering what you’d like to do next. This is an opportunity to join a 50-person business, who have been acquired by a global tech business. You will experience the autonomy and pace of a smaller business, with the financial backing and opportunities that come with a global business with over 1500 employees. You like the sound of the pace of a smaller business, without the risk, and all the opportunity that comes with a larger business. Here you’ll have the opportunity to join a team that have managed to push their technology into the global market, working on machine vision-based system technologies. The technology you’d work on, is used to inspect global commercial print, labelling from large industrial printers through vision cameras.
My Benefits?
You’ll receive a salary between £40,000 - £60,000, a generous annual bonus, 8% company pension contribution, life insurance, medical insurance, flexible benefits & cash plans, green car scheme, 25 days holiday and other cash salary sacrifice benefits on offer
What will I be doing?
You’re an engineer who likes the sound of having autonomy and genuinely owning your own remit, and a broad remit. You’d join a team of 7 engineers, but you’ll be the go-to electronics person, working across R&D. You’ll report to the Technical Director, where you will design and deliver electronic circuit boards, integration and subsystems. You’re someone who wants to see your work on the product and interact with customers and even see your own work on the customers sites. As part of your remit, as well as design the electronics, you’ll experience going onto site to work with the customer and integrate your technology onto the end products. Providing solutions and solving problems with the customers. You’re someone who truly enjoys the experience of end-to-end product building, prototypes, testing, all the way to product integration.
Where will I be doing it?
You’ll be based in office in Tring Hertfordshire, where you’ll have a hybrid set up, with options to work remotely whilst coming into the office when needed to jump on the tools. The Director describes the environment as one of trust, they trust you to get the job done, as long as you’re able to get to office when you’re working with physical things. As you’ll have the backing of a global business, you’ll have opportunities you won’t see elsewhere. Such as leadership spotlight programmes, regular investment in learning & development, opportunities to apply for opportunities internationally internally within the organisation (UK, USA, France, Singapore).
