DevOps Engineer
Cambridge Hybrid x2 days per week (flexible)
£50,000-£60,000 per annum + bonus + 30 days holiday

We’re looking for a curious and driven DevOps Engineer to join our clients team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in shaping how they build, deploy, and run their services. You’ll work with modern tools and cloud technologies, help streamline processes, and make sure our systems are reliable, secure, and easy to scale.
What you’ll be doing
- Helping us run and improve our Docker and Kubernetes environments so applications can be deployed, scaled, and managed with ease.
- Using cloud platforms (like Google Cloud Platform and RedHat OpenShift) to keep our systems resilient and high-performing.
- Designing and looking after CI/CD pipelines to make software delivery smoother and faster.
- Working side by side with our developers to support code releases and keep our tools running well.
- Taking ownership of deployments across different environments.
- Automating and monitoring SQL databases to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
- Writing clear documentation so everyone can understand and follow our processes.
- Troubleshooting and improving our Linux servers to make sure everything stays secure and reliable.
- Hands-on experience deploying Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters in the cloud.
- Solid background in building and maintaining CI/CD workflows (we use GitHub Actions).
- Strong Linux administration skills, with scripting experience in Python and shell.
- Experience building systems that scale smoothly on demand.
- Familiarity with SQL and database administration.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or RedHat OpenShift
