SoCode Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a market leading Automotive company based in Cambridge. The company you will be working for has been on the forefront of the automotive industry since its inception and leaders in their respective field.

They are seeking a Design Validation Engineer on a contract basis to join their Engineering team. The team is responsible for creating a range of hardware that is instrumental in the products they create. You will work with teams across the business to continuosly improve the planning, preperation and execution of the design verification and testing. 

Specific Requirements

• The development of test methodologies and equipment to process testing.
• Driving continuous improvement with regards to design review and test processes. 
• Work closeley with the development teams to replicate faults in hardware and help with root cause analysis.
• Maintenance of lab equipment alongside the designing and commissioning of new equipment.
• Attend out of office testing facilities.

Skills Needed

• Electrical test experience in verification and validation.
• Experienced in working through hardware issues.
• BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng level Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification.
• A willingness to work with other engineers at varied technical levels.

Desirable

• Some exposure to working with RF and EMC test plans/techniques.
• Software skills in embedded sytems or similar
