So Code are delighted to be working with one of the most innovative Insurance organisations on the market. With a digital focus, they are looking to kick start the Protection market, with the introduction of a new product that offers a single process to buy multiple products at one single point - This will avoid the traditional fractured and inefficient process. They have just opened a new office in the City and are looking to drastically increase their current head count.

Critical to the company’s growth, is the addition of an experienced Data Scientist to work closely with their Head of MI. Our client has developed a product that is unique to the market and they are looking for the right individual to maximise the efficiency and value they are getting. This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role in the execution of our clients Data Science strategy, by shaping, developing and reporting on cutting edge analytics solutions.

Position:              Data Scientist

Location:             Central London

Type:                    Permanent

Package:              £60K, 8% Pension, 10% Bonus

Purpose of the role:

To liaise with all stakeholders to provide MI, generating insights and visualisations from data. You will be able to visualise and communicate insights clearly to a wider audience and provide guidance and direction to the companies data analytics approach.

Responsibilities: Build forecasting models for internal and external clients, to provide Insight to customer’s online behaviour and purchasing choices. Implement data analytics tools for external user interfaces.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in productionising machine learning algorithms
  • Fluency in Python, R or Java
  • Practical  Knowledge in applying machine learning techniques
  • Business Intelligence experience
  • Experience in one or more BI tools - YellowFin, Qlickview, Tableau or Business objects
  • Experience with effective data visualisation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Educated to Degree level with proven experience in similar role.
  • Insurance industry experience - Desired
