Cloud Architect

Are you passionate about designing and developing cutting-edge cloud-native systems and services? We are seeking a Cloud Architect to lead innovative solutions to complex problems while implementing industry best practices. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to take a holistic view of our systems and collaborate closely with various teams, including Site Reliability Engineering, engineering, external vendors, and customers, to ensure optimal solutions are found and shared widely.
As a Cloud Architect, you will lead projects, mentor team members, and contribute to our direction and strategy. This is a unique hands-on role where you will develop prototypes and contribute to production implementation, playing a critical part in shaping our cloud-native solutions across a range of applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Architect best practice cloud solutions to meet business needs
- Continuously seek ways to improve technology and processes to increase quality, reduce costs, and enhance time-to-market
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to develop new and improved capabilities
- Share knowledge through mentorship and leadership
Must-Haves:
- Developing cloud-native applications (preferably with Kubernetes and/or AWS)
- Architectural design
- Networking (e.g., DNS, routing, firewalls)
- Security (e.g., authentication, authorization, encryption, TLS)
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code
- System design patterns and best practices
- Bachelor's, Master's, or higher qualification in computer science or related discipline
- Containerization
- Kubernetes
- Service meshes
- Linux, shell-scripting, and command-line tools
- Source-control management (e.g., Git)
- CI/CD and GitOps
- Programming in one or more high-level programming languages (e.g., Python)
- Object-oriented programming and design
- Standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC2, or ISO27001:2013)
