SoCode have been appointed to begin the search for a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) for our client - an emerging Trading/Blockchain/Crypto customer who are entering the next phase of their impressive growth and require a seasoned, experienced CTO to guide their Engineering function through this exciting period.
Working alongside the Head of Engineering and established Team Leaders, you will lead a remote 30 person function team comprising of Full Stack Software Engineers, Software QA, DevOps Engineers and Blockchain Professionals. As a senior leader within the business. you'll be reporting directly into the CEO and Founding Members.
You'll be responsible for building a greenfield, next generation DeFi Trading Platform which will be run by the "Community". People with a passion for DeFi / Open Source / Communities would be highly beneficial.
Our client will need someone who is increadibly Human and enjoys taking the responsibility for Managing and Organising a function. The team is extremely intelligent and techical, so the Softer Skills are more important to achieve the desired balance.
Having launched their Crypto offering to great fanfare in 2021 (raising £30m+) , they will be expanding this throughout 2022 with a full-scale launch and scale of all areas of their operation.
Key Skills and Experience:
Management Capability within a fully remote and highly intelligent Engineering Unit.
Strong Delivery Mindset (inc Project Management) - Achieving successful launch dates to budget, quality and time.
Process Formation - Establishing formal Processes, Procedures and Structure within a newly formed, high growth Engineering function.
Technical Strategy - Working with the Head of Engineering and Architects to display a deep understanding of the Product and Technology Roadmap.
Domain Knowledge - A strong knowledge within Trading Platforms / Digital Assets / Financial Markets / Crypto / Blockchain domains.
Impact - Representing the organisation globally at events / conferences / speaking etc.
