SoCode are working in partnership to help find an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of improving lead generation on Software sales.
Working in the heart of Cambridge, this role provides the opportunity to work with a well-placed, successful organisation with an award-winning product.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be contributing to new business development, supported by the marketing, product management and implementation teams. You’ll participate in the sales process from the initial follow-up of the qualified leads generated by the marketing activities through to attending sales meetings, presenting online demos and writing proposals. You will own the relationships with prospective clients from initial discussions to successful sale and produce a formal hand-over to an Account Manager.
The ideal candidate will hold:
- Experience of planning target lead generation campaigns, with marketing.
- Consultative sales experience
- Nurturing sales opportunities throughout the sales process
- Understanding of web technology, including architecture of web based applications, servers and database technology.
- Outstanding communication skills
- Client facing experience
- Experience of giving demonstrations and proposals, ideally in Software.
- Commercial awareness, dynamism and enthusiasm.
You will be required to work a 37.5-hour week.
As a member of a small and up and coming business, you will need to hold the potential to influence the development of the business and continue towards the success. Working independently and creativity is a must at all times.
In return, a salary of up to £50,000 basic is on offer, alongside this a competitive uncapped OTE is on offer with realistic earning potential of £30,000 +.
