AWS DevOps Engineer - 6 month initial contract - Cambridge

SoCode is proud to have partnered with a growing company which has been expanding its client base at a rapid rate over the last 5 years. Due to the continued growth, they're now seeking a DevOps Engineer with specific knowledge within AWS platform migrations. This is a senior position within the company with ongoing projects, meaning this contract is likely to be extended. They don't currently employ anyone in any DevOps capacity, so this role will suit someone who likes having a broad range of will have broad responsibilities.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with at least three years experience and two years experience using AWS (including AWS migrations). You will be able to bring best practices and processes within DevOps to reducing the time for builds and test cycles, making projects scalable as the team grows and enabling quicker solutions for customer needs.

Your main responsibilities will be map out the current development and release processes while making a recommendation on deployments and the handling of any change management tools. Your aim will be to standardise processes, with constant process improvement and provide project leadership of software development processes.

Technically you will have experience within supporting configuration management, setup/maintenance of test management tools, knowledge of visualisation, the experience of Automation & configuration tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Infrabox, Docker, Chef and Puppet. You will also have experience on a Linux and Windows platform with knowledge of Python. 

The allocated budget is up to £500 per day.
