Morgan Veness

​Morgan started his SoCode journey in July 2023.

"I recruit in the Scientific space exclusively in Cambridge, specialising in the biotech and device development space. No role is the same so whether you’re a Scientist in the thick of R&D or a Division Lead, I would love to hear from you!

I recently graduated from Brunel University in London, with a degree in Business Management. I wasn’t really sure of what I wanted to do work wise when I graduated. I was offered the chance to come and play rugby for Cambridge in the Championship, and started to look at work opportunities I could do alongside. I spoke to some family & friends working in recruitment and started looking into it properly. Fast forward and here I am at SoCode and very much enjoying it so far."

Where would we find you outside work?

"Most likely playing rugby or training in the gym, outside of that trying to catch up on sleep."

What advice would you give someone looking to get into recruitment?

"Might not be for everyone, but so far, I have enjoyed my work here at SoCode, it’s a great environment to be in and an industry where if you work hard, you will see the results."
