Dominic Fung

​Dominic started his journey at SoCode in September 2023, and he is responsible for everything within the Omic space. Genomic, proteomics, transcriptomics and everything in between.

"I grew up in Manchester, but I came to Cambridge for a change of scenery, and to be in the scientific heart of the UK. Ever since I finished my degree in Biomedical Sciences, I’ve missed being in the scientific space while recruiting in other sectors. Being part of SoCode’s scientific team means I can stay informed on the latest developments in biology while making an impact without spending an extra 6 years on a PhD!

Coming from agencies in Manchester that recruited outside of the UK, the culture and mindset here is completely different. I love the fact that we can go for a quick chat over a coffee with anyone in our network, rather than operating on a transactional basis.

Being at SoCode has made me realize how important it is to have a truly supportive team behind me. Whenever I need help, or someone to bounce ideas off, I know that there is someone that will help me figure out my thoughts even if they’re working from home."
