Technical Sales Manager

We are looking for a dynamic, technical Sales Manager to take ownership of the commercial growth for our Cambridgeshire based client, at a really exciting time for the business.
You will be responsible for driving new business, managing key accounts, and delivering revenue targets, while also building and leading a small sales team. This position requires you to remain hands on in the sales process – identifying opportunities, engaging with clients, and closing deals yourself, as well as supporting your team to do the same.

This position requires you to remain hands on in the sales process – identifying opportunities, engaging with clients, and closing deals yourself, as well as supporting your team to do the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market share in the data centre sector
- Personally drive new business through proactive engagement and technical sales expertise
- Build, lead, and mentor a small sales team to achieve growth targets
- Manage relationships with key accounts and grow long term partnerships
- Produce accurate forecasts, sales reports, and market intelligence to support decision making
- Work closely with internal departments to align customer requirements
- Proven track record in technical sales, ideally within data centre hardware, IT infrastructure, or related technology sectors
- Experience in both hands on selling and leading a small team
- Strong ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Commercially driven, with the resilience to achieve and exceed targets
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or similar is desirable, though not essential
