Software Engineer – Genomics - (Python) – upto £70K per year + benefits.

Permanent- Hybrid Working - Cambridge

This role would suit a candidate who has a background working in Software Engineering, or a recent graduate wanting to take their first step into the industry and wanting to build a strong foundation with genomics. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable interest in the application of genomics in human health.

You will be responsible for working with stakeholders to develop software-based solutions to generate, validate, analyse, and interpret genomic data sets. You will join a fast-paced organization, supporting new informatics tools, as well as sustaining existing operations. You will be adept at balancing multiple project priorities and demonstrate a pragmatic and agile approach to delivering sound technical solutions.

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements/experience:

• Highly proficient in python
• Experience of another programming language (Go, Java, Groovy, C#, JavaScript)
• Experience working on Linux/Unix OS
• Show a keen interest in the subject of DNA/Healthcare
• Experience of testing/DevOps is favourable
• Masters or PhD in Computer Science or a relevant field
