Site Operations Manager

Job description

The Role: Site Operations Manager

The Client: A cutting-edge, high volume luxury bottle production company

The Location: Cambridge

The Salary: Up to £70K with incredible share options, company benefits and culture

Who is the role with?

With an unlimited R&D budget, and partnered with the biggest name in luxury beverages, this well-funded start-up is simply one of a kind. The product they design and manufacture in high volumes is a first of its kind, and by using new technology the company has managed to partner with household names all over the world, including corporate companies too who bulk order the products to give to their employees.

Sounds interesting, what exactly would I be doing?

Great question. As the Site Operations Manager the expectation would be that you work on the running of the site. This would entail making sure the internal production teams are running smoothly, making sure the R&D teams have essential supplies such as water and nitrogen. You would also be expected to take responsibility on for ensuring production numbers are hit each month, the safety of the site as well as ensuring the culture is progressive.

The start-up does a lot of short, high volume product runs so the ideal person would have previously worked in people management (preferably with lean six sigma experience) and also have experience of working to be compliant to ISO standards.

That’s something I have done before! What do I need to get an interview?

- A great attitude – seriously, culture fit is the number one priority for this company as they continue to scale!

- A wealth of experience having managed people before (with a preference for the drinks/food industry).

- A degree in Engineering/Food Science/Facilities Management or similar.

- Budget setting experience and people management experience is absolutely essential.

Okay, what else would put me above the rest?

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to deal with short notice changes.

- Strong business acumen and leadership qualities.

- Experience having created a positive work culture with employee incentives.
