Salary: £42,000 - £63,000 (depending on experience)

We are working with a reputable and highly successful Cambridge based technology company that create solutions to protect data. Due to continued success, they are looking to expand their team of Technical Authors and are subsequently seeking a Senior writer to join their friendly, fast-paced team. 

You will be responsible for…

• Producing high quality, technical, customer-facing documentation
• Editing and improving technical documents written by fellow colleagues/engineers
• Working within an Agile product development framework
• Developing brilliant working relationships with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders
• Collaborating and supporting engineering teams to research and originate new content
• Supporting other teams with delivery of compliance and certification documentation
• Writing clear, jargon-free technical documents for customers who want to install, use and customise security products
• Experiment with innovative ways to ensure technical content meets the evolving needs of customers

You will have the following qualifications/experience

• 5+ years technical writing experience in an agile software development environment (Essential)
• Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent qualification/experience (Essential)
• Experience with Git and “Docs like code” practises and tools (Essential)
• Experience with Markdown or AsciiDoc (Essential)
• Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) (desirable)
• Knowledge of security software and hardware products (desirable)
• Proficiency with Madcap Flare (desirable)
• Experience of CLI, Scripting and creating API and SDK documentation (desirable)
