We are currently on the search for the top-tier of talent for a global tech giant who are doing ground-breaking research and development into the camera and vision sensor space. They are working on technology that has applications in a number of environments, from smart retail, right through to intelligent defence systems.

My client is seeking talented Computer Vision/AI Lead to join their team and be involved in a state-of-the-art project that is being built around you.

The role:

• You will work with Technical Managers to understand customer requirements and propose suitable CV/AI pipelines to meet the needs of the target application and its use cases.
• You will be responsible for CV/AI algorithm proposals including selection of models and training sets and work with your team of developers to model and optimise the proposed pipelines.
• You will collaborate closely with embedded software and FPGA engineers to further optimise proposed pipelines for embedded deployment.
• You will also guide the benchmarking and evaluation of implementations both on PC and embedded platforms and ensure that the proposed solution meets the required performance.

The successful candidate will:

• You are of a graduate calibre with a PhD in Engineering or Computer Science.
• You have hands-on experience of classical image processing techniques for feature extraction in Python, MatLab or C/C++.
• You also have experience of applying CV and AI algorithms over a range of use cases (object detection and tracking are most beneficial).
• You are versed in the use of TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite and/or PyTorch for the implementation of machine learning algorithms
