Full Stack Developer

Job description

SoCode has partnered with one of the fastest growing online media companies. This company operates on a global scale and having offices across Europe and in America, they have their R+D office based just outside of Cambridge. They work with a number of leading brands such as BBC, Channel 4, Premier League and also LadBible.

This company are seeking a number of full stack developers at both mid-level and senior due to natural company growth. This role will have you allow you to have a research focus to your time as a large part of it will be working in teams to help discover new product offerings and discover the potential future of the company. This role can have a large amount of flexible working from home but will require some days in the office - post Covid-19.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Development Team, Product Manager and CTO to build new product capabilities, extending out to new platforms and addressing new use cases.
  • Self-directed research to figure out “what’s possible”, and suggest ways that it might be applied within a business context.
  • Work with the broader development team to extend and improve our end-to-end architecture.
  • Liaise with technical support colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

 

Requirements:

  • A familiarity with a wide range of technologies is required – and enthusiasm to dive into learning more is essential.
  • Preferred technologies to have an understanding of: PHP (Yii Framework OR Laravel), JavaScript, PowerShell, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Preferably educated to degree level, but consideration will be given to candidates with relevant experience.
  • Excellent collaboration skills (including when working remotely), and an ability to Get Things Done as part of a larger team.
